Richmond House currently has one opening in our residential facility. Please call to inquire today.

Richmond House, a private, non-profit organization, provides residential living for adults who can live independently with support.

As an organization, Richmond House is in its early years. Presently, we have one house that serves six adults, who pay privately for room, board and services.

Although our residents have Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses, with structure and support, the residents of Richmond House live without the “labels.” In fact our residents, develop long lasting friendships, enjoy “dinner parties,” take day trips, stay up talking late into the night, play pool, dance, watch TV, go to the library, buy clothes, take a walk, shop for groceries, take the bus, play cards, try new recipes, go to a movie…all the typical fun stuff that happens in a house full of adults.

Peer support and coaching on decision-making, and personal responsibility encourages development of independence and success in work settings, both paid and volunteer, and in postsecondary education.

Plans for the future include serving more people in additional locations and offering financial assistance to residents who need it. Recently, Richmond House has established the Center for Adults with Autism with the mission of offering day services, social opportunities, support groups and more for older teens and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families.
