Dear Friends,

Founder and Board Member,
Richmond House

Welcome to the Richmond House website. Please enjoy your tour and learn about our mission, our services and our facility.

Richmond House, located in Richmond, Virginia, was built in 2003 by a group of parents of young adults with special needs, along with the help of our very generous community supporters.

Our mission is to empower teens and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder to determine and achieve meaningful and productive lives in the community with increasing independence. In fact, recently Richmond House established the Center for Teens and Adults with Autism with the mission of offering day services, social opportunities, support groups and more for older tenns and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and their families. One of the Center’s programs is the Social Networking Autism Program (SNAP Club). Started in 2008 and expanding more each year, the SNAP Club is an outreach program for teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Please check the Center page on this website for news and updates about the programs and services we have planned for the Center.

If you know someone who might benefit from our services, please encourage that person to contact us. We welcome applicants from Richmond, Central Virginia, Virginia and throughout the United States. Residential services are provided to qualified individuals without regard to religion, race color, sex or national origin.

We dedicate ourselves to the success of our adults by providing the respect, support and coaching essential to achieve that success. If you are drawn to our mission and would like to support our work, I invite you to join us in furthering our mission. Currently, we are seeking professionals who are interested in serving on our Board of Directors.

To connect with us about volunteering, serving on our Board, making a gift, or considering us for a place of residence, please contact us for an appointment to tour Richmond House and learn more about how we can work together. If you woulld prefer, you can download our Interest Form and mail it to us.

We welcome you at Richmond House!
